A Message from Mrs. Hankins
Families and friends,
We are finishing up NWEA testing and DIBELS this week. Our students are already showing great growth on their progress!
We are celebrating a lot of progress academically as we wrap up the second semester. The writing on the walls has improved, our students' are speaking and sharing about their success, and they are mastering those math facts!
Our teachers are working hard learning how to help support our students to become better writers, encourage problem solving and perseverance on math tasks, reading letters and sounds and working with the whole child. It's so great to see such devoted individuals pull out all of the stops to do what's best for kids each and every day.
Remember, we will be on Christmas Vacation December 21- January 3. Students will resume on January 4th.
I am so proud of our JSE students and staff. You should be bursting with pride too!
Thanks for being the best gift of all,
Mrs. Hankins

Winter Weather Reminder
We go outside unless it's raining or the wind chill is making it too cold to be out. Children need a coat to be outside.
When the weather turns snowy, we will still be outside. Students will need their coat, hat and gloves. If they would like to play in the snow, they will need snow pants, boots, coat, and gloves. Otherwise we keep them to the blacktop to stay dry.
Accepting donations: if you have any coats that you've outgrown and need to find a loving home, we will gladly accept them for extras for recess. We'll keep some on hand at JSE and wash after each use.
If you see any good deals on boys underwear, we could use some spares in case of accidents.
