Assistive Technology PD offerings
Tier 1 AT Process Training
This interactive full-day training session will provide an overview of topics through the lens of Assistive Technology including: definition of AT, Universal Design for Learning, Accessible Instructional Materials, the SETT Framework, academics, classroom environment, communication, and IEPs. Participants will gain the following knowledge and skills from this training:
- Overview of Assistive Technology in a multi-tiered framework of support
- Knowledge of various types and applications of Assistive Technology
- Foundational skills in implementing Assistive Technology in the classroom environment
Participants invovled in a CAIU AT Process cohort can take this training in lieu of the Tier 1 online training modules.We are offering this training multiple times throughout the school year - see below for details!
Tier 2 AT Process Training
This interactive, full day training will focus on developing a framework for skill development and implementation of Assistive Technology in the classroom. This is required training for Tier 2 in the CAIU 15 AT Process. You do not need to be part of an AT Cohort to complete this training.

- AT Implementation
Please note: CAIU AT Process Tier 1 Training is a prerequisite to this training session.

Tier 3 AT Process Training
This interactive, full day training will focus on developing a system for the delivery of individual AT services within a district. This training is by appointment only. It can be delivered at the CAIU Enola facility or we can come to a district building.

Using Core Vocabulary: Classroom and Therapy Activities
This interactive, full day training will focus on the importance of using Core Vocabulary when setting up the special education classroom and curriculum. It will provide opportunities to use core vocabulary and learn how to introduce it to the student with fun, individual and group activities.
