Metta Student of the Month: senior RebeccaProulx

Metta Students Foundation visited Joseph Case High School last Friday to honor Rebecca Proulx. Rebecca is the October 2018 and 56th Metta Students recipient. Metta Students Foundation's mission is to recognize high school students who perform random acts of love and kindness. Because Rebecca epitomizes the foundation's core value, she received this prestigious award and $1,000.

Rebecca Proulx was nominated by teacher Janet Blair for this award. The check was presented by Norm Kelly from the Metta Students Foundation.

Senior Rebecca Proulx is involved in many community service opportunities at Joseph Case High School. She volunteers her time assisting in special needs programs at school. Rebecca is a member of Arch Buddies always donating her free time and energy. She is a Unified Sports Basketball partner. Rebecca participates in the Homecoming with Autism. She attended special needs prom. Rebecca speaks to the School Committee about ARCH Buddies. She recruits students to be Buddies.

And finally...Friends of the Cardinals community service event

Please consideri dropping off a flashlight in the high school's main office to benefit the Friends of the Cardinals' Goodnight Lights for Sam. I have attached a detailed letter for your consideration in continuing to provide a Swansea boy with hope and support each night as he and his family navigate life's road post-stroke.
