Honouring our Fine Arts Students

Thank you to the many families and community members who came out to support our very talented and hard working Fine Arts students' Production of Beauty and The Beast. After months and months of hard work and tremendous dedication, our students did a fantastic job - We are so proud!!! Thank you to Ms. Richard for the many long hours of planning, set building, technical set ups, staging, shopping for costumes / fabric / set pieces, engaging with community members and volunteers, and countless hours of rehearsal after school. Without the dedicated efforts of our MANY staff, parent and community volunteers this production would not have been possible. As an entire school community, we thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Grade 3 students moving to Grade 4

Indigenous Moon Calendar

This month, it is egg hatching moon, (paskawihowipisim) in the Cree calendar. At this time of year, we are all encouraged to go outside and appreciate the creation of new spring life. Do you hear or see the baby birds. Can you appreciate the beauty in each of God's creations? Go for a walk to your special place, notice and feel your surroundings and try to listen to the birds singing their songs.

Library Corner

It is hard to believe that the year is winding down already. It has been a great year in the library, and we were able to add so many new cool books to our collection. June 8th and June 10th will be the last library classes to check out books. After that, we will just be returning all over due material and getting ready for the next school year. If any over due books are not returned by June 17th , payment sheets will go home.

Thanks everyone and if you have any questions please reach out

OLPH Parish

  1. A Reminder about spring registration for First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion INCLUDING a special invitation for family whose children age 7-10 are not yet Baptized. We have special preparation available for those families so the little ones can be welcomed in Baptism during the Easter season then go on to celebrate the other sacraments with their classmates. Please share widely in your classrooms! A direct invitation from the grade 2-4 teachers would be extremely helpful.
  2. Invitations for two different adult Faith Formation opportunities being offered in April by the parish GiFT Committee (Growing in Faith Together.) Please share with all EICS staff and parents. You do not need to be an OLPH parishioner to participate.
