reminder: no school Monday (Labor Day)!
Does Your Child Love Books? So do we!
My favorite thing about kindergarten is reading! Your children will learn to read this year! What better way to help them? Purchase some of their favorite books! Book orders came home yesterday in folders.
I ask one favor: if you only order one time this year, let it be now! If we can get $250 in student orders, we will earn 10,000 points. That will be enough points to buy free books for our classroom library for the entire year! I will send home book orders each month. But I hope you'll order this month to help us reach our goal. Let me know if you need help ordering online. Or if you need another book order, I can get you one!
To make paying easier....Book orders are due September 15th, but you can post date your check until October 1st! I will not send in the money until then!
I hope you'll consider making an order this month. Thanks for supporting our classroom reading program.

Accidents Happen
Students in my room will not be in trouble for having an accident....unless....they do not tell me. We have talked about how important it is to tell an adult when they have an accident. We have talked about how if the dirty underwear sits on their skin, they can get a rash or irritation. We have talked about how having an accident and sitting in it without telling a teacher spreads germs.
So please review with your children this important rule: Tell a teacher if you have an accident. If your child does not tell a teacher, continues to sit in it, spreading germs around our room, they will get a yellow card. We need to encourage them to tell us right away. Thanks for helping your child learn this rule. Accidents happen. They won't be in trouble as long as they let us know! Thank you!
