Call for Photos

Attention coaches and leaders! If you lead any of our St. Eugene students on a team, in a club, etc, please send a group photo to yearbook@steugeneschool.org. Include the activity and grade level (if applicable) in the subject line of your email. We especially need fall CGSAA Volleyball. Feel free to share candid shots from school activities as well. Make sure you are sharing a high quality photo (should be in MBs, not KBs).

Sign Up for This Week’s Green Team

Green Team’s third meeting will be Wednesday, April 27th after school until 4:15pm in the school library. Please sign up EACH WEEK for students to attend, even if they signed up for this past week’s meeting. This allows us an accurate count of who will be attending each week. If your student is in Aftercare, please sign them up and let Aftercare know they are attending. Questions? Brigitte Silvernail bsilvernail@hotmail.com or 918-706-2815.

Raffle Tickets Due Thursday!

This weekend is our big push to sell those raffle tickets! Consider asking family and friends you see if they would like to buy a few tickets! Many of our families have had success sharing via social media. Distant friends and family pay them via Venmo or Cash App, the seller fills out a ticket for them and shares a pic, then the seller writes and sends in a check for the total sold to the school. Please turn your sold tickets in as soon as you can to make it easier for Mrs. Taylor to count and organize!

Remember, the prize is $5,000 cash OR a year’s free tuition for one student (up to $5,000) - winner’s choice! We are asking each school family to sell at least 10 tickets to help raise money for our school and parish community to help reach our goal of $19,000. Tickets cost $10 each. Checks may be made out to "St. Eugene Gala." Winner will be announced at the gala on April 22nd. They need not be present to win.

If you sell all of your tickets and need more, please contact Jennifer Taylor or ask in the school office. Money and tickets can be turned in any time, but must be turned in to the school office no later than April 21st!

Student Incentives:

  • Top ticket seller will receive a $300 gift card to Amazon or Target - our current leader, Jax Tran, has sold about 100 tickets!

  • 2nd and 3rd place sellers will each receive a $100 gift card to Amazon or Target! - our current 2nd is Dani Tran with about 80 sold!

  • Classes with 100% participation (all students in class selling all 10 tickets) get a pizza party! Mrs. Taylor’s Kindergarten has the most participation with Mrs. Long’s 3rd and Mrs. Harris’s 2nd close behind!

  • If our school can sell at least $15,000 in raffle tickets, the whole school will earn a Free Dress Day! We are at about $10,000 in sales as of 4/15/22. Let’s rally and get that last $5000 to meet our goal!

Apply for School Advisory Council

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is looking for new applicants to replace those who are completing their term this spring. The primary role of the SAC is to collaborate as a whole with and serve in an advisory role to the principal and pastor in policymaking to guide our school community in fulfilling our mission. We are looking for volunteers with a background in education, finance, facilities, and law. To serve, you must be a practicing Catholic St. Eugene parishioner, 18 years or older. If you’re interested in serving The Catholic School of St. Eugene in this way, please send an email to sacchair@steugeneschool.org by April 25th introducing yourself and highlighting strengths, experience/expertise, and any aspects of the school you are passionate about. SAC meets one evening a month, and members will need to be available for committee meetings and certain school events as well.

Time & Talent Requirements

Our Time and Talent program requires each family to contribute 30 hours of service to the school. Only 20 hours are needed for single parent families. Grandparents can earn hours for their children's families, however you must indicate which grandchild's family you are working for in each particular instance. Students may earn up to 10 hours of their family’s obligation, provided it is for an approved and qualifying volunteer opportunity.

Time and Talent hours must be logged through your FACTS Family Portal under Family Information, Service Hours. Deadline to submit hours for the 2021-22 school year is Friday, May 27, 2022. Logging hours is the responsibility of the family. If your family chooses not to donate the minimum service hours, a $10 fee is charged for each hour not completed. The charges will be uploaded into FACTS. Unpaid charges can affect final registration for the 2022-2023 school year.
