COVID-19 Protocols
As we get started for 2020-2021, there are protocols unique to the moment that must be followed.
The first priority for the Clear Creek Band program will always be the safety and well-being of the students, families, and staff. To that end, we will follow all CCISD, TEA, UIL, and governmental guidelines.
We ask everyone's patience and understanding as we work through these challenging times. As we are in a time where protocols, recommendations, and guidelines often change daily (or quicker), please know we are always doing everything we can to ensure the safety of all the members of the Creek Band Family.
You can always find the most recent version of the guidelines here.

Procedures for Rehearsal - Week 3
Please review before arriving at rehearsal. Yes, it's a lot, but we must keep each other healthy and safe. This will pass...
Complete the Daily COVID Self Assessment
- The form will be available one hour prior to the rehearsal on the BAND app and website.
- This form must be completed by all participants in the rehearsal: students, staff, and any parent who enters the rehearsal space.
- Any person who answers "yes" to one or more questions will not be permitted to participate.
Arriving at Rehearsal
- All students should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to every rehearsal. (This is a standard suggestion.)
- No students/parents will be permitted inside. Students should be dropped off in the band parking lot, there will be student leaders helping you.
- Students who drive should park near the band hall.
- Immediately upon leaving your car, mask protocols are in effect. You must be wearing a mask when you arrive at rehearsal.
- Students will be checked in at a tent near the marching band tower in the band parking lot.
During Rehearsal
- Masks will be worn by all students and staff at all times unless otherwise instructed.
- Masks may be removed when rehearsing outdoors and students are spaced at a minimum of 7.5 feet apart.
- Masks may be removed when driving water (no sharing of water bottles will be permitted), however students must be at least 6 feet apart. This will be monitored and enforced.
- Percussion and Guard students will follow directives from Mr. Coleman and Mr. Zamora. These two groups will be the only groups that do any work inside, but with careful social distancing procedures.
- Students will be permitted to visit the restroom, but only one student at a time. Please make every effort to take care of your business prior to arrival at rehearsal.
After Rehearsal
- No students or parents will be permitted inside.
- Students who drive themselves must depart immediately following rehearsal. No "hanging out" will be permitted.
- Parents are asked to be present and ready to pick up their students no later than 15 minutes after the end of each rehearsal. We do our best to make sure we end on time, please do not be late to pick up your student.
- Upon arriving home, students are strongly encouraged to immediately wash all clothing and equipment used at rehearsal and shower/bathe.
