Bringing literature to life!
Dear parents,
We have been having a great time learning about trees and their importance in our world. Students grow in curiosity as they explore the different parts of the trees and how they provide homes to different animals. Needless to say, they are very excited about our field trip to "Safarick's" next Friday as they will be able to see many of the animals we have been talking about.
Connecting our unit on trees to our celebration of "Bringing Literature to Life" has been an enjoyable task. This week students enjoyed watching "The Lorax", which stress the importance of friendship and being kind to our environment.
In the classroom, we have been working on rhyme, counting, letter sounds and tracing, and working on several art projects that will be displayed in our art show on April 22nd (more information will be provided in the weeks to come).
P.S.: Sorry about the delayed news! I was out of town during the weekend :)
Happy Monday!!!
