Williams Parent Bulletin
September 2023
Hello September!
Hello Wildcat Community!
Thank you for a wonderful first two weeks of school! As we move into the month of September, we look forward to making more memories with our Wildcats. This month brings the fun of Labor Day, Grandparents Day, Constitution Day, Back to School Night and the coming of autumn. In addition, we are working on bringing back many of our amazing extra-curricular opportunities such as the Chess Club (grades 4-5), WildTAPS Tap Dancing Program (grades 1-3), Student Council (grades 4-5), Video Bulletin Crew (grades 3-5), Circle of Friends (grades 1-5) and the Golf Club (grades 4-5).
As we begin the school year, we will continue making safety a priority on campus. We will focus on parking lot safety, visitor safety, campus safety, as well as digital safety. This year, we're launching the school year in a positive manner by spotlighting the character trait of "respect" and by having the principal visit every TK-5 classroom for behavior expectation presentations. School Resource Officer Abel Alaniz will be assessing our parking lot and traffic concerns and visiting the school to introduce himself. We will resume safety drills to practice emergency preparedness too. I'd also like to welcome our campus assistant team back. They will continue playing an important role in keeping our Wildcats safe every day. Please remind students to be respectful of them as they work around campus.
Finally, a little tip to help our families out: PLEASE write your child's name on the inside of their sweaters/jackets, backpacks, lunch boxes and water bottles. A lot of items are being left behind on the playground, cafeteria, quad and classrooms. Writing their name on their property will make it easier for our Wildcats to find lost items.
Thank you for everything you do to help us support our Wildcats!

Please arrive to school on time. We need your help to set up our Wildcats for success every day. Please arrive between 7:30-7:55 AM so that students have time to eat breakfast and/or walk to their class number on the blacktop.
Turn in Your School Forms
We ask parents to PLEASE fill out, sign and return all of your child's first day packet forms. During the first week of school, we've needed to access updated emergency card information for sick or hurt students. Please send the completed forms with your child or return completed packets to the office.
CHARACTER COUNTS TRAIT: RESPECT
During the month of September, we'll be celebrating the character trait of "respect." We invite students to wear YELLOW tops/shirts, bottoms, hats, socks and shoes on Character Counts Fridays this month.
Respect: Show respect to everyone • Use good manners and language • Be considerate of feelings • Never bully, hit or hurt others
Let's work together!
Let's team up to stay healthy. Please screen our Wildcats BEFORE they come to school. Remember, students should stay home when they feel sick. Please notify your child's teacher and our office if your child tests positive for COVID. Our health office team is ready to assist and support all of our Wildcat families.
We need you!
