IHES Spirit Wear
A spirit wear order form came home today stapled to your child's agenda. So, sorry about sending them home so late. I thought the sub sent them home last week. If you plan on ordering, please have your order sent back in by this Thursday. You could even bring it to Open House. There are samples of each shirt/sweatshirt in the glass cabinets right outside the office.
Open House
Come on out to the IHES Open House this Thursday. We will take a look at a day in the life of a 4th grader. There will be three sessions for you to choose from. They are as follows: 5:40 - 6:00, 6:15 - 6:35, and 6:50 - 7:10. With the exception of P.E., the special area teachers will also have sessions going. So, feel free to drop on by and see what takes place during related arts time.
Canvas questions? Well, there will be a Canvas representative on hand to answer them! Her sessions are as follows: 5:30 - 5:45 for Q & A, 6:05 - 6:45 for parent account information, and
7:00 - 7:15 for more Q & A.
Many of you have already created a Parent Account on Canvas. If you haven't just head to this link for the set up instructions.
Cafeteria staff will also be on hand for questions or if you just want to add money to those lunch accounts.

If you would like to be a volunteer for the upcoming year please fill out the form found in this link. If you have filled this out in the past and your volunteer card has not expired, you do not need to fill another one out.
Mystery Readers
Kids LOVE being read to! Every other Friday we will host a Mystery Reader. Mystery Readers can be parents, grandparents, siblings, or other family members. This will be a 10-15 minute time block. You can bring in your favorite children's book….fiction, non-fiction, poetry, etc. If you're not sure what to bring, I can find a book for you, or you can read a chapter from our read aloud book. If you are interested in signing up for a Mystery Reader date, just send me a quick message.
I know this is gross, however....
In order to keep our building as germ free as possible it is important that you understand that children must be diarrhea free, vomit free, and fever free (without fever reducing medication) for 24 hours before they can return to school.
