Mrs. Lyon & Mr. Peri's Class Info
Week of 12/14-12/18
In math this week with Mr. Peri this week, we are finishing Unit 7 Adding and Subtracting Fractions. We will have our Unit test after the break.
In science, we will be discussing the relationship between the Earth, Sun and the Moon.
In Reading and Social Studies class, we are creating our own colony and creating an invention that would be useful in our colony. Each student in my two classes is coming up with their own invention. Students will need to bring materials from home to build on Tuesday and WEdnesday. Any type of empty container, toilet paper roll, paper towel roll, plastic, or metal item would be helpful. Students have been brainstorming and have a good idea of what they will need.
This week we will finish reading the Skyjumpers novel. Our project is based off the premise of this book. We can't wait to see what happens!
Don't forget to READ over the break! We are still logging December minutes on our reading calendars!!
