SV Week 13 Update
Conference Week Success
Thank you all for a great turnout last week at Bingo Night! It was a fantastic event, and it was great to have everyone back on campus for the first time in almost 2 years for a PTSO event. Not only was it a great night out, but thanks to you, PTSO was able to raise almost $3500 to help support our kids!
Thanks for all of you who were able to attend our fall conferences this past week as well over zoom. We hope that you were able to connect with your teacher(s) and want to remind all our parents that they can stay up-to-date with your child's progress by logging into PowerSchool or downloading the PowerSchool App.
We are planning a Veterans Day Celebration on November 12 in the afternoon in honor of those Veterans who are serving or have served our country with a connection to Sierra Verde. We are hoping to honor our Veterans with an assembly at 1:30 pm. Please sign up here using this link and we will reserve your space at our Veteran's Day Flagpole Celebration.

PTSO Update
Thanks for the fantastic turnout last Friday at Bingo Night! We were so excited to see everyone back together at this great SV event. This Tuesday, have restaurant night at Yogurtology in the Safeway Plaza on 67th Ave and Arrowhead Loop. From 3:00 - 9:00 pm mention that you are with Sierra Verde and a portion of all sales will come back to help our kids.
Please also stay on the lookout for the live link on our PTSO page for the upcoming Online Auction the first week in November. We have a fantastic selection of prizes in store for bidding, and it's a great time to get some unique gifts and support SV at the same time. Details will be coming out next week, but stay tuned! As always, follow us on Facebook to stay up-to-date.
Thank you for all of your support!

Absence Reporting, Office Updates, & Open Enrollment
- Open enrollment applications for 22-23 are filling up fast. For those of you with siblings or friends wishing to attend SV next year, please fill out your application for Sierra Verde online at our district open enrollment page. It is essential to get your application for next year ASAP to give yourself the best chance at securing a spot for next year. Applications will be prioritized by date received and priority will be given to siblings of currently enrolled students if grade level capacity permits. It is not necessary to reapply for Open Enrollment for currently enrolled students at Sierra Verde only new students wishing to attend.
If you are calling into the attendance line and your student is not sick, please be sure you specify that they are well and/or taking a personal day. Otherwise when a student is called in ill, we need to have a negative Covid test before they can return to campus, when presenting a covid like symptom.
Next Friday is a 2:00 pm early release for our staff to work in their PLC Collaborative Teams
See Something? Say Something! Keep our Campus Orderly
Any students who engage in any destructive or devious behavior at SV will be subject to a minimum of a 3-day off-campus suspension. Right now all students are being punished with restricted bathroom access in our 6-8 pod, and we hope this creates a situation where those with knowledge of the few doing the vandalism will speak up and allow us to get back the pride we have in our campus and community.
If any of our students are experiencing bullying, harassment, or having a peer conflict, please advise them to tell a trusted adult on campus so we can intervene accordingly. We always have incident report forms available in our office where students can submit a report for administration to investigate. Students need to report any of these incidents directly to school staff so we can intervene swiftly. If a student needs to contact a parent to report anything, they are always able to come to the office and call home, but they should not be texting or messaging parents from school. The sooner school staff know about an issue, the quicker we can respond and intervene.
