I loved seeing all of the creativity that is in the 6th grade last Friday when they did their sets of number drawings. Here is a sample of the work that was received.
Mrs. Phifer - Social Studies
May 17-19, 6th grade will venture out on our annual Science trip to Galveston. We will be going to Galveston where we will explore the Galveston Bay with a marine biologist, visit Moody Gardens, participate in a space simulation, and finally we will eat supper with the alligators at Brazos State Park!!!!
The trip will be approximately $300. If you child is planing on attending they must have a $75 deposit turned in by Nov. 11th More info to come soon!!!!
Mrs. Levi - Science
This week they will compare the properties of the element samples and locate their placement on the Periodic Table of Elements. Students will soon discover the pattern that metals appear on the left side of the table, the nonmetals appear on the right and that most of the elements that touch the stair-step line are metalloids.
Friday, September 9th our Metals, Nonmetals and Metalloid Vocabulary is due.
