Summer Learning Program 2023
The D.C. Everest Summer Learning Program is open to all students residing in the district. There is no cost to attend, and all students are eligible for bus transportation. Our program will begin with our Early Evergreen program for grades 4K and 5K, through students who have completed 11th grade.
The goal of our summer program is to provide the children of our community with further opportunity to grow academically, socially, and to explore new areas of personal interest.
Early Evergreen classes are for the full morning, whereas students in grades 1-11 select two classes for each morning. Several full-morning classes are also offered for the different grade levels.
Dates & Times
Classes for our summer program are held Monday through Thursday (no school Fridays), from approximately 8:00 a.m. until noon, with slight variation between buildings to accommodate summer bus routes and food programs. The program begins Wednesday, June 7, and concludes Thursday, July 13. There will be no school July 3 and July 4.
Locations
Summer school locations for the summer of 2023 will be the same as last year. 4K through 4th grade will be located at Rothschild Elementary and Weston Elementary. Bussing will be provided to Rothschild Elementary for students residing in the Mountain Bay attendance area. All students in grades 5-9 will attend classes at the D.C. Everest Junior High.
The sign up for the Summer Learning Program will be completed online through your Infinite Campus parent portal account. Please watch your email for more details and for registration information to be sent in mid-March.

4K & Kindergarten Enrollment Opened on February 6
As we prepare for the 2023-2024 academic year, we wanted to make you aware of several educational options available to our D.C. Everest pre-K and elementary students.
Please note, enrollment can be limited in some programs and locations, and applications are reviewed in the order they are received. Therefore, we encourage families to enroll their student(s) online. General enrollment information can be found here.
Computers are available at the DCE Administration building (1699 Schofield Avenue) for families to use and staff are happy to assist with the enrollment process. Please contact Beth Stone at 715.359.4221 ext. 1352 or bstone@dce.k12.wi.us to schedule an appointment. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate and immunization records. If you do not have your child's immunization records, we can assist you in looking up those records if you have your child's social security number available. If you need translation assistance when enrolling, please contact Xia Yang at 715.359.4221 ext. 5522 or xyang2@dce.k12.wi.us and she will set up an enrollment appointment with a Hmong or Spanish translator.
New student enrollment opened on February 6, 2023. You can enroll online or access print forms at:

3K Program
The DCE bilingual 3K program is housed at Rothschild Elementary and is limited to 16 students. The 3K Program is designed to enhance a student's early language skills through conversation, reading and play-based learning. Enrollment is open to bilingual 3K students, Early Childhood-eligible 3K students living within the District, and 3K students living within the Rothschild Elementary attendance area. Any child enrolling in the 3K program must be 3 years old on or before September 1 of the year for which they are enrolling. Families will be contacted if their child is accepted into the 3K program.
4K Program
Any child enrolling in 4-year-old Kindergarten must be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the year for which they are enrolling. Families can choose from morning or afternoon half-day classroom options.
Kindergarten Enrollment
Children enrolling for Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the year for which they are enrolling.
Please note, if your child is currently enrolled in one of the D.C. Everest 4K programs, you should not complete 2023-2024 enrollment forms. Parents/guardians with a child currently enrolled in 4K will receive an email in mid-January from the DCE elementary school your child will be attending. Parents/guardians should reply to that email with their 5K 2023-2024 enrollment plan for your child.
