ACTIVITY THROUGHOUT THE LIBRARY FOR OUR STUDENTS (and you!)

We've updated a few areas of the library and are presently preparing for our author visit with Lenore Look! We are very excited to have her visit our school.

VOLUNTEERS

If you are coming to volunteer in the classroom, we would appreciate you popping into the library to volunteer for even 30 minutes! We have multiple shelving, new book processing, and other various projects.

We especially need a parent volunteer who is willing to work on books that need repair. A "book doctor". We would love to train this volunteer!

AUTHOR VISITS!!

Not 1, Not 2, but 3 authors will be visiting Bradbury this year!

Our first author visit was Laurel Snyder http://laurelsnyder.com. She visited via Skype with only Year 6 mid-October.

Our second author visit will be Lenore Look http://lenorelook.wordpress.com who will visit Year 1-6 in person on November 15th.

Our third author visit will be Alan Gibbons http://www.alangibbons.com who will visit with Year 1-6 in Mid February.

Help us monitor your children's books:

We've been loaning out books left and right AND receiving them back as well! There's loads of shelving that accompanies this process. We're grateful for parent volunteers and student librarians who keep us afloat with all the shelving jobs! In the month of October, we have:

Borrowed books: 2900, however we still have nearly 400 books overdue.

Thanks for reading!

We look forward to accommodating your needs. Thank you for supporting our huge projects, sharing your thoughts, adjusting to Mrs. Alvarez's style, borrowing parent books, and enjoying the library!
