Live and In Concert: Selkirk Middle School Musicians
Selkirk Middle School has over 250 students enrolled in our music programs! The positive impact of their music education is evident in the joyful concerts they put on for our community. In addition to learning to read music and play an instrument, there are other benefits to music education. A recent study found that students who had extra-curricular music classes developed higher verbal and visual abilities. Music education has also been shown to sharpen student attentiveness and increase reading scores.
