  • Wednesday, December 16: Lots of things happening today!
  1. Math mid-year assessment

  3. Heritage projects due/presentations

  • Friday, December 18: School Wide sing-a-long; crafts

Heritage Projects Are Due!

We are looking forward to hear about the interesting things you learned when researching your family history! Each student will present briefly to the class on Wednesday or Thursday. Students will share their family picture and country research (from the packet), and share the additional heirloom project they completed.

Polar Express

All aboard! The Polar Express arrives on Thursday in Mrs. Crain's classroom. Please feel free to wear your pajamas (with tennis shoes as we have an activity in the gym during specials) as we try to get into the Christmas spirit despite this warm weather! While watching Polar Express, we will enjoy hot chocolate with all of the "fixins".

Secret Phrase

"The bell still rings for all who truly believe."

Please write the secret phrase in your child's agenda and sign it or send me an email.

GCS Reading Incentive

Information for the Guilford County Schools Holiday Reading Incentive program should come home with your scholar on Tuesday. This is separate from the monthly reading program which we are participating in via the Carolina Hurricanes' Pick Up A Book And Read" program. The monthly reading incentive log is due at the end of each month for a homework grade, as students are expected to read at least 20 minutes each night as part of their homework!
