Phalen Flyer
PLA@George H. Fisher School 93
Greetings PLA Families,
All of our hard work and persistence this year has lead us to this moment. Our 3rd-6th grade scholars will begin taking ILEARN next Monday. It is very important that scholars arrive on-time daily as they cannot enter the classroom once the test has started. Below are some tips to share with your scholar to prepare for standardized testing.
1.) Get plenty of rest. Encourage scholars to go to bed 30 minutes earlier to increase their focus.
2.) Eat breakfast. Scholars can eat at school or at home. Breakfast will give their brains and bodies energy and fuel to think for an extended time.
3.) Remain positive. Let your child know you will be thinking of them during testing and trust that they will do their best.
PLA@93 is excited to welcome Scouts back to our school. After school programming won't begin until next year, but Scouts is enrolling now for their summer programming and after school group. More information can be found below.
We are currently SOLD OUT of yearbooks. However, good news!! We have ordered additional yearbooks and they should be arriving soon. Once they arrive, we will let scholars know so they can be purchased. The cost is $14 each.
There is still time to register for Summer Advantage. The deadline has been extended for you to register your scholar and receive transportation to and from school.
Sixth Grade Parent Reminder: All sixth graders received an enrollment packet for JRPLA, Phalen's Middle/High School. Reserve your scholar's place at our middle school for next year!
