Principal's Message

I appreciate the warm welcome back to Bobby's Run! It has been great seeing the students and staff. I am looking forward to a wonderful 2022.

For the month of January students will be working on demonstrating the STAR principle "Always Be Kind" the Wildcat Way. Our school community:

  • Embraces and celebrates differences
  • Uplifts one another with our words and actions
  • Practices forgiveness of ourselves and others

Outdoor Recess & Mask Breaks

As the weather gets colder, please send your student to school with appropriate coats, hats and gloves. If with the wind chill it feels below 32 degrees, mask breaks will be limited to five minutes and recess will be held indoors. Thank you for your attention to this.

Extra Curricular Activities Postponed

As many of you know, with COVID-19 cases on the rise, the entire state of NJ went “into the red” last week. This means the levels for the virus are considered “very high” at this point. In an effort to keep district schools open, we are going to temporarily suspend all extracurricular activities. There will not be a remote option for students. We hope that this will be a short term situation.

Board of Education Meeting Updates

Last night the Board of Education met.

  • A revised calendar was approved and can be viewed here
  • An amendment was made to the Plan for Safe Return and can be viewed here. The most notable information is that students that test positive will need to quarantine for ten days. Unvaccinated students that are a close contact will need to quarantine for five days.

Bobby's Run Pen Pal

Bobby’s Run School has a new pen pal and he is a member of the United States Air Force! Every year In November, Bobby’s Run School honors our military and veterans by sending cards. Mr. Asaro, of the US Air Force delivered our box of cards to the United Arab Emirates. An active military Sergeant wrote us an email. He found Mrs. Fuegar’s email address and answered all of the students’ questions. He also shared pictures of him and his team. Mrs. Paolin read the letter and shared the pictures with the school during morning announcements. BRS responded with a letter and a picture of our November Star Students of the month holding a sign and thanking him and his team and telling them to stay safe. Sgt. Brent wrote to us again in December wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Again, he included pictures of his team that were shared with the students. The main office staff and several students thanked him and his team again, wishing them happy holidays and a safe and happy 2022.
