A Message from Mrs. Johnson

Hello Bryant families,

It is hard to believe we are half way through Trimester 1. Time has gone by so fast. Every student will receive a progress report during Trimester 1. The purpose of the progress report is to inform parents of how their child is performing and to offer helpful suggestions/tips for parents to utilize at home. Progress reports will go home with students on Friday, September 29th so please be sure to check their backpacks. If you have any questions regarding your child progress report, please be sure contact your child's teacher.

This year, we are proud to announce Bryant's Parent University. Parent University is designed to be an opportunity for parents to get tips and tools in a variety of areas so they feel better equipt to help their child at home. Trainings will be offered in math, reading, and social-emotional education. Please join us for our first session on September 27th at 6:00 pm. We will be discussing how to build your parent toolbox with strategies to support your child's social emotional learning. Parents, these sessions are just for you so please do not miss out on this wonderful opportunity.

Join us for our first PTO meeting of the school year. The meeting will be held on September 25th at 3:00 p. We are always in need of new members to bring fresh ideas to the team. We look forward to seeing you.

Work hard, DANCE HARDER!

Last week we had a blast at our lunch time dance party. The music was blasting and we enjoyed every minute of it. Our students work hard so they deserved a few minutes to get their groove on!

The Core Virtue for the month of September - Diligence

Diligence is doing what needs to be done with devotion, dedication, and determination. Showing diligence involved making a constant and earnest effort to accomplish what has been undertaken, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the person.

This month, as part of our social-emotional development discussions, classes will discuss what it means and what it looks like to demonstrate diligence. Please join us by talking with your child about demonstrating diligence and never giving up, even when things appear to be difficult.

This is how we show DILIGENCE

We can show diligence in all that we do and it is important that we encourage others to do the same. Thank you so much to Mrs. Noble and her students for reminding us to choose to feel happy, to care about others, and that EVERYONE deserves to feel good about themselves. Awesome job!

Who has the best attendance?

Congratulations to Mrs. Nielsen and her super students for being recongized as the class with best attendance average last week. In addition to our students, parents are to be recongized for ensuring their children are at school, on time ready to go! Thank you for your support. Keep up the great work!

Parent University

This year, Bryant is so excited to launch a series of parent trainings through our Parent University program. Each session will be geared toward helping to provide parents with tools to support their children in the areas of academics and social emotional behaivors. Our first parent night has been scheduled for September 27, 2023 from 6:00 p -7:00 p. Childcare will be provided. Please do not miss out on this awesome opportunity.

How do germs spread?

Our first grade students are learning about the body systems and how each system has a job to do. The immune system helps the body fight against infection and other diseases. The students learned about the importance of washing their hands by conducting a little experiment to see how easily germs can spread from one person to another. Try it at home ... place some glittler in your hands. You may need to use a light substance to make sure it sticks. The glitter represent the germs in your hands when you touch things or cough/sneeze in your hands with you tissue. With the glitter on your hands, shake hands with a few family members. You will see all of the little germs transfer from one person to the next. If you get sick, your immune system leaps into action. Great job first graders!

We are always looking for enthusiastic new members to join our team. We look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings.

We would love for your to volunteer!
