Kindergarten Registration

Please call the office if you have a child who will be entering kindergarten next school year. A child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018 to register.

Junior Achievement

We are still in need of Junior Achievement Volunteers for K and 2nd Grade!

Junior Achievement's unique delivery system provides the training, materials, and support necessary to bolster the chances for student success. Volunteers visit classrooms just a few times throughout the semester. They share their workforce experience with kindergarten-12th grade students, all while teaching sound economic principles and reinforcing class curricula. Nine out of 10 teachers believe experiential learning is effective in getting students interested in higher education and careers.

Peoria County Preschool Screening

Your child is growing and changing in so many ways! The early years are generally considered the most important years for learning to occur. We would like to help you measure your child's development. By participating in the Peoria County Preschool Screening we can let you know how your child is developing. Free public educational services with specially designed learning experiences are provided for preschool age children if there is determined to be a special need. For younger children, early intervention programs are available through Child and Family Connections.

Your child's development is measured by his/her ability to: talk, learn, behave, see, hear, and move. If your child has difficulty with the screening, a complete case study evaluation will be completed to help us make a recommendation concerning your child's needs.

The dates for Monroe's screening are April 17th and 18th. There is no charge for the screening, which is only available to residents of our school district. The screening will take about an hour.

To make an appointment for your 3 to 5 year old child, contact the Special Education Association of Peoria County office- 309-697-0880.

For children younger than age 3, please call the above number, 309-697-6360, or 888-482-4300.
