Questions?
What if I'm not good at running?
Anyone can be good at running! All you need is a training program that works for you. Start slow if you need and go shorter distances. Your body will gradually have increased stamina and you will be able to run faster and longer! It just takes practice and time.
Why can people who are different sizes than me run faster than me?
Everyone is built differently. Some people are made for running, with naturally long legs and good stamina. But that doesn't mean you can be as great a runner as them! They may also have been training longer and/or more intensely than you have. It all depends on the person.
I'm not much into working with other people and having other people rely on me.
Running is a highly individual sport! It is something you can do completely on your own, at your own time and pace. Only you can improve your time and distance. Your finishing time of a race doesn't directly effect anyone else. But, it can also be a team sport. Cross country is a great example of this. People on a cross country team train together and support each other at races and meets.
