HUG Project Thailand
2018 Annual Report
A Vital Voice
On April 4, 2018, Vital Voices (a US State Department program) honored HUG Founder & Director, Boom Mosby, as a Global Leader in Human Rights at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Vital Voices recognizes “disrupters- women who plant the initial seeds of change that trigger transformation in their communities and around the world... women leaders who are working within their countries of origin to stir the imagination of others enough to create a new reality". The new reality that Boom is working to create is one in which children are safe from sexual harm. She has chosen to leverage her voice on behalf of child survivors at every opportunity- advancing a victim-centric approach throughout Thailand, Southeast Asia, around the world. Thank you for defending their voices by supporting her voice!

MOU Signing
On December 3rd, HUG hosted organizations representing 3000 school students, dozens of Royal Thai Police, NGO partners, and International Law Enforcement to officially launch our Internet Safety Program for Students in Northern Thailand. Our hope is to expand the project throughout the country.
Royal Welcome
HRH Prince Richard, The Duke of Gloucester, visited the Child Advocacy Center in Chiang Mai on October 18th. Following a roundtable discussion of the fight against child trafficking in Thailand, His Royal Highness was treated to a special song presented by HUG Project children and youth.
That Makes Five
2018 saw the opening of the 4th and 5th Child Advocacy Centers in Thailand- in Ubon Ratchathani (in cooperation with The Light Center) and Sangkhlaburi (in cooperation with One Sky Foundation) respectively. HUG is thrilled to be a part of this development as more children will receive services (legal and restorative) with a victim-centered approach.
