Football Friday Night: @ Van Wert

Tickets will be on sale Friday from 11:00-1:00 pm ONLY in the high school athletic office. Ticket price is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. All tickets are $7.00 at the door. If you have any questions call 419-331-2580. GO DAWGS!

Schedule your conference appointments

Parent -Teacher Conferences will be held in Elida High School on Wed., October 10th from 5:00-9:00 pm. Parents should call the office to schedule appointments with teachers. Call Carolyn Brenneman at 419-331-4115.

Nov. 6th Election: Elida's Permanent Improvement Renewal Levy

November 6th Elida Schools has a renewal levy on the ballot:

  • This is NOT A NEW TAX.
  • The last time it was renewed was in 2013.
  • This money is critical to the district to fund capital improvements including computers, textbooks, security & safety expenses, bus purchases and building maintenance.
  • P.I. Funds are NOT used for operational expenses.
  • Vote to help provide the best for our Elida students
  • Remember to vote on November 6th.

Quiz Bowl Season Off to a Great Start

The 7th and 8th grade Quiz Bowl Team had an awesome night at their season opener of match play at UNOH! They had wins against Bath 45-17, St. Charles 35-25, Delphos Jefferson 40-25, Spencerville 32-23, and Lima South 37-35. Their only loss was a close match with Wapak’s A team with a score of 31-38. They will meet these teams again in tournament play. Congratulations to Bri Jackson, Ben Moening, Maddox Bell, Landon Bollenbacher, Emmitt Henkener,, Matthew Schum, Conner Smith and Logan Tolliver on a fantastic start!

8th Grade Washington, D.C. Trip Meeting

For 8th grade students considering traveling to Washington, DC next spring, there is an informational meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 10th from 7:00-8:00 pm in the Middle School Commons.

FFA Apple Butter Day

It's that wonderful time of year!

Cooler temps, fall leaves, pumpkins and apples!

Our Elida FFA students will help us get in the mood with Apple Butter Day!

On Thursday, October 11th from 8:30-1:30 pm behind Elida Elementary, there will be agricultural displays, farm animals, student tours and HOMEMADE APPLE BUTTER being made and available for purchase.

Come to this fun, educational event and help support the Elida FFA!

High School Fall Choir Concert

The High School Student Choir will perform their annual Fall Concert on Monday evening, October 15th at 7:30 pm in the High School Auditorium. Come and enjoy music from our Women's Chorus, Men's Chorus and Chamber Choir in this FREE concert.

From the Nurse's Office

In the month of October all first grader students will complete a vision and hearing screening performed by the nursing department. If your child does not pass we will send a referral letter home to follow up with a specialist.

In November all eleventh grade students will complete the vision and hearing screening. If your child does not pass we will send a referral letter home to follow up with a specialist.

FLU SEASON IS HERE! The Elida Nursing Staff wants to remind you to get your flu shot. You can get yours at your primary care provider, The Allen Co. Health Dept., pharmacies and local clinics. Some Q&A about misconceptions about the flu shot are available at this link. FLU SHOT INFO.

Financial Aid Night: Tuesday, October 16

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, October 16th in the Elida High School Media Center at 6:00PM.

If you are a senior and considering attending college next fall...you AND your parent should be there!

A financial aid officer with a local college will be here to discuss the FAFSA process and answer any questions you and your parents have.

Any student who attends college and needs federal grants, aid, or loans of any kind MUST file a FAFSA! If a FAFSA is not filed, the only means of attending college is scholarships and/or paying out-of-pocket the entire expense!

High School Students: Need help?

Students: Do you need help with homework, studying for a test, or just organizing your mountains of papers? National Honor Society students can help.FREE tutoring is slated to begin the first week of October. Students should listen closely to morning announcements for the actual start date & time for this FREE service.
