VIRTUAL TOWN HALL MEETINGS

We are so proud of our students as they have made the transition to virtual school. As we near the end of the first Marking Period (Nov 12-13), Counselors and Administrators want to make sure that students are aware how they can access support and improve their grades. We will be holding "Virtual Town Halls" for all students on Friday, October 30 from 9:50 to 10:15 AM (in lieu of Wellness). It is MANDATORY that all students attend this important meeting. Administrators and Counselors will be discussing the importance of attending classes, turning in graded work and how to access assistance through use of student emails and office hours.

student email

In community building today, teachers will be reviewing how students can access their "student mail" on the splash page. Students can use email to contact their teachers regarding assignments and set up notifications to send alerts about assignments. Encourage your student to start checking their mail!!

Student Absences

If your student is absent from class, please complete this google form (form in Spanish) or send a picture of the doctors note to Ms. Tongue. If your student will be absent from class for 3 or more days, please contact their grade level counselor in order to assist with gathering make-up assignments. If possible, please schedule doctor’s appointments during non-instructional times.

Office Hours

Is your student missing work? Confused about assignment? Need to re-do an assignment? Do you need to speak with a teacher about your student? Teachers are available during OFFICE HOURS to help!

Grade book codes

Parent Portal is a powerful tool in helping your student stay on track. See attached list of "grade codes". The Assignment Name in Powerschool should match the assignment name in google classroom. While ALL work assigned is important for learning, teachers clearly indicate which assignments in google classroom are "Graded".
