MEADOWLARK GIVING CAMPAIGN (aka Fitness For Funds)
Meadowlark Elementary School is excited to announce our MEADOWLARK GIVING CAMPAIGN! Formerly known as Fitness for Funds, the Meadowlark PTO coordinates this event, our sole fundraiser, and 100% of the proceeds benefit Meadowlark. As you may be aware, our spring fundraiser typically helps us raise around $30,000 per year to go directly back into the classrooms for students and for teachers. Covid-19 took away our opportunity to have our fundraiser last spring, so this fundraiser is important to get our funding back on track. Thankfully, due to a commitment to smart spending, our PTO has supported teachers this year with remaining funds from the previous year.
On Friday, April 30th, students will be jogging, walking and participating in fun physical activities for one hour to celebrate the campaign.
If you would like to make a donation, please go to www.fitnessforfunds.com All gifts are tax deductible!
We are requesting all donations be received by April 23rd.
Thank you
A BIG THANK YOU to our wonderful Giving Campaign Committee: Krystal Crumley, Gaylene Alderson, Hillary Woolsey, Lindsey Lane, Krysti Yuen & Nikki Fisher. These ladies came into the school to stuff envelopes of potential sponsors.
ROLLER SKATING STARTING IN P.E.
Beginning Monday, March 29th, all students will be participating in an in-house skating program during their physical education class. Due to insurance purposes, we will be exclusively using Learn 2 Skate roller skates. The skates will be delivered directly to the school.
The skating unit is being implemented because of its emphasis as a “Lifetime Activity”. Skating provides a variety of benefits, which include balance, coordination, motor skills, and a top rated cardio-respiratory workout. Students will also learn basic skating skills such as starting, stopping, forward skating, backward skating, cornering, and a number of safety tips for being a smart skater.
Students are strongly encouraged to bring helmets.

We're excited to welcome the Class of 2034 to Meadowlark Elementary School this fall!
Children who are or will be 5 years old by Aug. 31, 2021, will be eligible for kindergarten in the 2021-22 year.
Because of restrictions on in-person gatherings, we will not be having a Kindergarten Roundup in-person meeting this year. Instead, we have put together a Kindergarten Roundup slide presentation. Please view the slide presentation at the link below and be sure to complete the Intent to Register form for the 2021-2022 school year. This form can also be found on the Andover District Website under Quicklinks. Please do not complete this form if your child attended any of the Pre-K programs at Prairie Creek or Robert Martin Elementary Schools.
Please note that this form can not be completed from a mobile or tablet device.
