Help Stop the Summer Reading Slide

Summer vacation is almost here! Are you looking for a way to keep your child reading this summer? Encourage your child to participate in Central's Summer Reading Bingo Challenge. If your child completes the card, he/she will be invited to attend a party luncheon at the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. For a huge selection of eBooks go to - http://www.myon.com/login/Hoosier/

For "school name," start typing Hoosier, then select Hoosier Family of Readers; use

"read" (lower case) as both the username and password. Spanish readers may click on the advanced tab to the right. Check the Español box and select additional options to find just the right books.


Bartholomew County Public Library Summer Reading Information

Double the rewards of reading and check out the summer reading club at the Bartholomew County Public Library (BCPL) which runs from Jun. 1 - Aug. 7.

Book Fair Results

Central loves reading! Parents, students, teachers and other community

members turned out to celebrate the joy of reading at Central's Scholastic

Book Fair held Apr. 6 - Apr. 14.

More than $950 was raised which will be used to purchase resources for the media center.

A special thanks to the following volunteers who helped make this Book Fair a success - Trista Kikendall, Liz Eder, Amy Kleffman, Bethany Sedziol, Lisa Valles and Joanne Clausen

Bookface Contest

CMS students had fun bookfacing. What is bookfacing? It's when you take a picture using a book to augment or obscure a part of the body or face. The resulting picture creates the illusion that the book and subject are one.
