Tax and Tip.... A look closer
My examples of tax and tips begins at Chipotle. My favorite place to get burritos.
I ordered a burrito with a large pop and that cost $20.23. Tax in summit county is 6.75% so the tax on the meal was $0.71, my bill came to $20.94.
My waitress was really cool. I decided to leave her a $2.24 a 20% tip. The total cost for my visit was $23.18
Sale!
Finish line is having a 40% off sale. The shoes I would like to buy cost $89.99. The 40% discount of 35.60 brings the shoes down to 42.35.
Good money
My mom allowed me to have a lemonade stand. I earned 25% commission on my sales each day. My sales on on Sunday totaled to $2400. I made $600 in 8 hours... Good money.
Mark Ups!!!!!!
Store owners need to make money to cover their business expenses. Owners will need to make sure Their product mark up is reasonable. Bill from Target marks products up 25%. A box of oranges cost $8.00 but he sells it for $10.00
