Shurandia Holden, Principal

From the Desk of Shurandia Holden

Hello Boggess Families,

We have enjoyed another exciting week at Boggess. Students, staff and families had a wonderful time playing games, dancing, and enjoyed spending time with friends at our Boggess Family Game Night. Thank you so much to our wonderful PTA for organizing this event. A huge thank you to all of the student volunteers who helped out. Your time and support was greatly appreciated.

Our 1st Grade Students had a wonderful time at the Outdoor Learning Center. Many of the students were excited to ride on a school bus for the first time. During the walk on the trail students saw a variety of animal tracks, colorful butterflies and flowers. Many students loved seeing the bobcat, touching the snake skin and hearing the birds. After the field trip students were able to share their experiences in a writing activity.

Our 4th Graders had a great experience at the Plano Symphony. They enjoyed a variety of selections. Some of their favorites were music from Spiderman and music by Bruno Mars.

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Boggess History Fair. Scroll down for a list of the awards.

Thank you to our Specials Team for planning such a great Fun Walk for the staff. The treats, music and prizes were awesome. We all had a great time learning some trivia as we were getting fit.

Thank you to all of the Boggess Girls Scouts who helped make the Boggess Garden area look so nice. The rocks look fabulous. We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication.

Touching hearts and minds,

Shurandia Holden
