What is your favorite memory that you have from your time at Grant school?
My favorite memory from my years at Grant School was our 5th grade trip to Angel Island. I really had fun on the hikes and learning about making butter! It was also really cool to do the night watch because we got to drink hot cocoa and play games.
What is something that you enjoy doing outside of school?
Outside of school, I love to play soccer and roller skate! I also love animals and enjoy walking my dogs and cuddling with my cats.

Playing golf and baseball, playing guitar, and playing with my new puppy, Buddy. I love going on vacation with my family too.

Petaluma's Little Free Anti-Racist Library
One of our wonderful Grant parents, Beth Green, has committed to helping build a kinder, more equitable world, starting with our community. She has teamed up with Rise Up Against Racism to raise the funds needed to build a Free Little Antiracist Library in Petaluma. She loves Petaluma and believes we can benefit greatly from access to a library filled with books that encourage antiracist learning and bring our community together to actively dismantle racism.
Please join us in spreading the word about this project. All donations of any size will help reach the goal. Here's the link to the project page.
Petaluma People Services Center Special Delivery Project 2021
Create handmade Valentines for seniors in the Petaluma People Services Senior Services Program. Last year, the agency received over 5,000 valentines and was able to deliver valentines to all the seniors in throughout the county.
To help spread the love, please make your own cards and include a nice message and send or drop them off at Petaluma People Services by Monday, February 8, 2021.
Mail to or drop off: PPSC, 1500 Petaluma Blvd. South, Petaluma, CA 94954, Attn: Saint Valentine
Guidelines:
- No glitter! This creates food safety issues.
- Please avoid dark backgrounds and religious symbols.
- Please write clearly in large print and avoid using the abbreviation “V-day” please say, “Valentine’s day”.
- You should not give out your address or suggest that the recipients write back to you. Initiating an ongoing correspondence is not appropriate.
- Please make sure that the cards are appropriate for the intended audience. That is to say, pretend it’s your sweet grandma, not your snarky teenage brother.
In the Thank You Column:
- Big thanks to Michelle Wilson and Rosalie Thompson for setting up some great shop & donates and making sure to get the word out.
- Thank you so much to Maryann Pacheco and her amazing children for making every Grant student a valentine surprise! Your generosity and commitment to Grant's students are so appreciated!
- Thank you to Mrs. Crysdale for the fun storytime zooms!
- Valentine's Day at school is always so sweet. To all our teachers trying to make it special despite everything, we appreciate you!
