In today’s world, where students and staff need to be reminded every day to be committed to education and careers, attend this session with Gonzalez to hear how you can instill a sense of commitment and hope in the students and educators in your districts.

Mrs. Claus - Interactive Student Session for Grades K-2
Do you need a holiday-themed lesson to address the standards in your classroom? The interactive video conference, Spending Time with Mrs. Claus, will address those needs and keep your students talking for days to come. This is one of our most popular December lessons!
Students will interact with Mrs. Claus to complete a variety of problem-solving tasks in a fun way. During the lesson, Mrs. Claus pulls in Science, Math and Language concepts and guides students to apply skills to solve puzzles and create a holiday craft. This holiday lesson stresses kindness and giving of yourself throughout the entire year - a lesson not to miss!
Spaces are limited and are scheduled on a first come first serve basis.

Cost is $120.00 per connecting site. Fee includes individually packaged kits for your students that are mailed to your classroom. There is a 30-student maximum per site. Overage fees and additional kit fees will apply to schools that go over the session maximum. Additional kits can be purchased for $1.00 per kit + shipping fees

Join Dr. Ky Davis as she introduces her new book entitled "Journey to the Core of Mathematics - The Fraction Adventure." Davis will present many activities and lesson plans aligned to Ohio's Learning Standards as well as an example and template for a "Fractions Escape Room!"

Give your students who are gifted opportunities to interact with other students who are gifted! Grade 3 students will be presented with challenges and will have opportunities to use problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills through the following activities:

January 9 - 4:00 p.m. Orientation for the Hybrid Course "School Signs 4 Learning Minds"
Participants will learn the manual alphabet, numbers, and common phrases and vocabulary to communicate with deaf students and teach hearing students in the school setting. This is a hands-on course designed to give exposure to a different culture and language and a method to teach children using visual/tactile methodology. The course will enhance teaching of vocabulary and language acquisition. MVESC member districts: $150.00; MVESC non-member districts: $200.00. See flyer for more details. January 9 - 4:00 p.m. Orientation for the Hybrid Course "ABCs and 123s" for PreK-2 Educators
The goal of this course is to give you classroom resources, activities and instructional tips on how books can provide a rich context for understanding mathematical concepts. During the course, you will identify ways to build number sense in students and promote practical classroom exercises that will encourage the wide range of learning styles that are present in your classroom. January 18 - 9:00 a.m. Give Me 5! Tools for Teaching and Supporting Unity or LAMP Words for Life
Teachers, Speech and Language Therapist and parents should attend this session to:
1. Locate vocabulary with Word Finder,
2. Create and use Vocabulary Builder sets,
3. Create low-tech boards and teaching materials with PASS,
4. Find lesson plans and therapy materials from the AAC Language Lab that match the language level of an individual using AAC,
5. Turn on data logging and upload that information to Realize Language for review.
