Life Cycle of a Star
By Chris Rocca
How is a star like a human?
In the life of a star there are multiple stages like a human life. A proto-star is the same stag in it's life as a human baby. A star in it's main sequence is like a teen-early adult human. A middle aged man is in comparison with a Red Gaint star.
Proto-star
First stage in a stars life. It forms from the interstellar medium. When the porto-star gets hot enough fusion reaction will ignite and the star lights up.
Main Sequence
The main part of the star's life. In this stage of it's life the star is fusing Hydrogen into Helium.
Red Gaint
Near the end of a stars life. When the runs out of Hydrogen it cools down and gets a red color. In this stage of the stars life it is fusing Helium into heaver elements.
