What is a Grassland?
Grasslands are large plains covered with grass and some have a few trees. In most Grasslands the rain is so scarce that drought and fire prevent large forests from growing ,but some have tropical climates that get more rain for lots of plants and vegetation to grow.
The soil of most grasslands is also too thin and dry for trees to survive ,but other plants can grow there. For example Milkweed is a plant that a lot of insects depend on to survive.
Insects like the Milkweed bug that depend on the Milkweed for food and shelter form weather and predators.
