Senior Exam Schedule & Expectations
12th Graders and Families,
As we share the nuts and bolts of the testing schedule and procedures, we also want to congratulate DHS seniors on all of their hard work and accomplishments and encourage everyone to prepare for their exams and finish strong!
In an effort to move toward a more responsive and productive assessment calendar, we’ve set up an assessment calendar for the last week of school for seniors, May 16th - May 20th. Seniors will only attend school during their testing periods, unless they are completing credit repair or credit recovery. Please read this document thoroughly to understand our senior exam schedules. Senior grades are due by Friday, May 20th at 4:00 PM.
Parameters
Students must report on time to assessments. Make-up assessments will only be given if a student can provide a written medical excuse.
Regular senior classes will be canceled and will not meet, allowing senior teachers to proctor other exams.
Seniors may come to campus at non-assessed times to work on other school work ONLY via prior arrangement with their teacher. Those students must sign in at the Attendance Office.
Students may not leave campus after a test and return on the same day. Students with two non-AP/IB tests in one day should report to the cafeteria between tests for lunch.
Students working on credit repair and/or credit recovery must report to campus from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM daily, regardless of their exam schedules. These students will work in the Hospitality Suite.
Exams will be proctored by senior teachers during the week in classrooms specifically set aside for senior exams.
Students should report to the cafeteria ten minutes before the start of each test. Students will be sent to testing rooms together five minutes before the start of tests. No students will be admitted after the start of exams.
Students should bring only what they need for testing. No backpacks will be allowed.
Seniors may exempt the exam that takes place during the week of the 16th for a course if they have a 6 or 7 in the course

Seniors with AP & IB Courses (May 2 - 20)
STARTING May 3rd: Seniors will not have to attend their AP or IB courses once testing begins at DHS (Students in non-program IB Bio Year 2 still need to go to class). Senior students with AP & IB Assessments will be able to self-checkout and -in over the next three weeks. To streamline this process, we’re asking you to complete a few steps that will confirm permission for your senior to check out during the weeks of 5/2, 5/9, and 5/16. In addition, there is an exam schedule for elective and non-IB Courses for seniors the week of 5/16. The following conditions apply:
- Families that elect for students to checkout understand that the only time the students are to be on campus is during testing windows and elective or non-IB or AP Courses.
- We will not have a place to house students that have elected to participate in this opportunity.
- This requirement does not apply to students that are enrolled in non-program IB Biology SL.
Parents and guardians, in order to verify permission for your senior to check out, please complete the following Google Form.
