Do the math: Science + Supper = FUN!!!

Math/Science Night is upon us. Branch was here getting all the details finely organized.

Here's the lowdown:

-5:00-7:00 is your expected time to be here. D-Cares food truck will be here if you'd like to get dinner. Menu coming soon.

-There will be 3 math games per grade level hallway. That means you may partner with another teacher to manage the flow of parents and students in the classroom as well as help facilitate the game. One teacher needs to be in the classroom at all times. This will allow you to mingle with the attendees and also get some tasty dinner from the food truck.

-A deck of cards and assigned game will be in your boxes next week. 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade teachers, we will put the game in the math teachers boxes and they can get with their teammate to review the game.

-ESL, Special Education, CAMP teachers will monitor the science projects that will be set up in the gym for the evening. Make sure kids and parents look and don't touch. You may also take turns mingling and getting some grub for your tummy.

Reminder of Expectations:

  • Only 1 Dinobeat left on May 22nd. Please make sure you are in the cafeteria promptly at 7:25.

  • It's been soggy out, so back parking lot recess has been happening. It is important that you monitor the students from the whole parking lot. Please have someone stand by the entrance of the bus loop. Also, kids should not be playing the field behind the loop.

Field Day Fun!

Coach has feverishly been getting plans for field day finalized. As usual, she will get the rotation information to you before Friday. Reminder that the Kona Ice Truck will be here from 12:00-2:00 (class schedule for purchasing snocones coming next week). We have lots of fun stuff going on next week and lots of information to send home to parents about each event. Thank you for communicating so well with them.

Just something fun...

This guy is AMAZING!!! Beatboxing is a true craft. We've got lots of kiddos that make noises, but nothing like this. It is an 11 minute video worth watching...WITH YOUR KIDS! They will LOVE it. Enjoy!
