Land of READ-A-LOT
Maidens and Lords were presented with a menu of project choices on Monday. The students have worked on their chosen tasks throughout this week. Next Thursday we will have a grade level Museum Q&A. This walk will showcase student work!
Missions in Math
The Kingdom has moved into geometry this week. Laying the vocabulary foundation has been our goal this week. Students have been exploring polygon attributes and documenting their learning into teacher made graphic organizers.
Soaring in Social Studies
Social studies is off to a fresh start. We are learning the WHY's and WAY'S people can improve their communities. Classes will study four important Americans and learn how they made huge improvements for their communities.
WRITING that is Worthwhile
Our Maidens and Lords worked very hard organizing a MEL-CON this week. This type of writing is very detailed and requires the students to read two nonfiction articles and search for evidence that supports a given purpose question. This week students utilized two Patricia Polacco stories (read in class) to write an organized and coherent MEL-CON.
