7th, 8th, and 9th graders have been rocking out in Mr. Cohen's Rock Band I&E session! Students have come together with a variety of experience on the instruments, and this is only their second time meeting as a group like this! Check out the video below of students playing through Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.
Magazine Drive Update
Report Cards
Secondary school parents are now able to view, print, and save their child’s report card directly from the Parent Portal. First marking period grades will be available to view on Friday, November 11 at 8:00 am. Printed report cards will not be sent home with students. We will announce future report card dates at the conclusion of each marking period in the school newsletter and on the website.
The Parent Portal allows you to view your child’s schedule, attendance, immunizations, and assessment information. Parents can also update their demographic information. If you have never activated your Parent Portal account, please visit https://www.cbsd.org/Page/26932 to do so.

CBW Orchestra Halloween Pops Concert
The CB West Orchestra invites you to our annual Halloween Pops Concert on Thursday, 10/27. The concert begins at 7:00 PM in the CB West Auditorium. Our Lenape 9th grade Orchestra (as well as Tohickon Orchestra ) will be performing alongside the HS Orchestra as well. Our concert is free and is family friendly. Repertoire includes music from movies Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Jaws, Psycho, the show Stranger Things, and spooky classical favorites.
The night includes a costume-contest, so we encourage you to dress in your Halloween costumes. We hope that you can join in the fun!

Laptop Breakage
We have seen a rise in the amount of screen breaks for student laptops. Our policy covers for 2 broken screens per device. If your child’s laptop screen breaks 3 times, we will be required to send you an invoice for the repair and labor. The current cost for this is $200. Please remind your child to care for their laptops. Some simple steps to assist are:
- Use two hands when holding or moving the device.
- Use clean hands while using the laptop or iPad.
- Use only the provided digital pen or finger on the screen.
- Use only the power adapter that came with the device.
- Use a microfiber cloth to clean the screen.
- Keep device stored in the provided case. This includes traveling through the hallways, on buses, or anytime the device is not being utilized.
- Make sure nothing is on the keyboard, close the lid, and remove all cables if any are plugged into the laptop. Place laptop in your bag carefully.
- Be careful when placing your case on the floor. Keep the device off the floor so screens do not get stepped on by others.
