News and Notes from Doniphan Middle School

August 2019

DMS Parents & Students,

Summer vacation is winding down and we are looking forward to seeing each of you again! The 2019-2020 school year has great opportunities in store for each of you. The best of these is the opportunity to take this adventure together!

At Doniphan Middle School we hope to see all students reach their full potential. A few of the ways we will be working toward this goal during the 2019-2020 school year are through:

  • Increasing communication with families and our community through email, facebook, newsletters, phone calls, twitter, and our school website.

  • A continued focus on the DMS Has Drive, Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS), theme. Thanks to the hard work of our students and staff this past year, DMS was recognized on the state level this summer for our PBIS program!

  • A continued focus on learning. Our teachers will be working on assessments to help guide student learning and interventions to address student needs, both academically and socially.

Working together; we can, we will, and we are making a difference for our kids is our motto at DMS. Our first two opportunities to work together are just around the corner:

  • Back to School Night, Tuesday, August 13th 5:00-7:00 p.m., Students may pick up their schedules in the DMS gym and visit their teachers in their classrooms.

  • First Day of School, Thursday, August 15th 8:00-3:15

It is our pleasure to work with each of you this year and welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year at Doniphan Middle School.
