Senior Transition
Social Skills in the Workplace - TPP Match Class
Congratulations Seniors!
I am very excited to be working with you as you complete your final year of high school and transition into the world of work, college, training programs, military service or whatever you choose. We have a tremendous amount of work to do this year. There are many requirements to take care of in order to graduate and many plans and preparations to make for what comes next. I think we have an awesome group of seniors this year, and I look forward to working alongside of you all the way.
Transition Partnership Program - Ca. Dept. of Rehabilitation (DR)
We are fortunate enough to have this time to work on this important transition together because of our relationship with the State Department of Rehabilitation TPP. A counselor will work with each senior ( who qualifies) to map out a plan with an employment outcome according to each individual student's interests and skills. It is the goal of TPP to help students with disabilities (or barriers to successful employment) to access the training, education, tools and support needed to gain and maintain employment for a long time. With that in mind, an emphasis on social skills in the workplace will frame all of the activities in this class.
