DEADLINE FRIDAY, APRIL 30: Register Your Returning Eagle

Now is the time to register all returning students in Argyle ISD. The deadline for registration is Friday, April 30. Eagle families can log in to Family Access and follow the steps. We have provided all the registration information needed for parents in one new place!

Eagles Competing at UIL State Academic Meet!

The Eagles are sending 27 students representing seven first-place teams and individual events to the UIL State Academic Meet on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1. Argyle won the UIL Region I meet recently at AHS with 546 points. The competition will be held at AHS and will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday with Computer Science.

Sweepstakes for AHS Band!

It has been a tremendous year of success for the Argyle High School Band. The latest achievement includes both the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band being awarded straight superior ratings and the AHS Band was awarded its 20th consecutive sweepstakes recognition.

This spring, the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band have been hard at work preparing music for the UIL Region 2 Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation which were held virtually. During the fall, AHS was crowned the Class 4A state champion.

Great Work: AHS Art Students Honored

Argyle High School art students Jacalyn Myers and Alexander Daggett have received distinguished recognition for their excellence in art.

Their artworks advanced to the State Visual Art Scholastic Event and both are State Medalists. Alexander's piece titled "Skate" has also received the highest award and is part of the Gold Seal Exhibition that will be displayed during 2021-2022 at different venues during various art events next year.

Masks Optional for Students & Staff Starting Monday, May 10

The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to update the district's mask and quarantine policies during the Monday, April 19 Regular Board Meeting.

Trustees voted to amend the district’s COVID-19 protocols making masks optional for all students and employees effective Monday, May 10. Masks will be optional inside all facilities and while riding in school buses for the remainder of the school year.

Trustees also approved making quarantines the responsibility of parents beginning May 10. The current protocols and guidelines for “close contacts” and quarantines will remain in place until this date. The May 10 date is when all employees who had the two doses at the Argyle ISD COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be fully vaccinated.


Board of Trustees Election May 1

The Board of Trustees Election is May 1. Two Places on the School Board are up for election.

In Place 4, the ballot includes incumbent Ritchie Deffenbaugh and Phyllis Clark. Place 5 incumbent Dr. Leona McDade is running unopposed on the ballot. The video below is a virtual candidate forum for Place 4.

GOLDEN EAGLE! Davee Wins Wrestling Title

Argyle High School had an impressive showing in the UIL State Wrestling Championships on Friday, April 23.

Eagle senior wrestler Cullen Davee won the 170-lb state championship on Friday and finished the year undefeated. He won three matches at the tournament and claimed the 5A championship in a 4-1 victory against Kale Farrington of Canyon Randall.

Eagle junior wrestler Jax Ernest added another podium finish for AHS taking 5th overall in the 182-pound class. As a team, the Eagles finished 14th overall with 13 points in the 5A division.

PLAYOFF TIME: Lady Eagles Face Carter-Riverside Friday in First Round

The Argyle Lady Eagle softball team begins its playoff road Friday. The Lady Eagles, in the midst of a historic season, host Carter-Riverside in the Class 4A Bi-District playoffs at Argyle High School. The one-game playoff starts at 7 p.m.

The Lady Eagles earned the program's first district championship this year and have produced the most wins in school history. Argyle enters the playoffs at 19-5-2. Earlier this week, the Lady Eagles defeated Decatur 3-0 to win the District 7-4A title outright.

STATE BOUND: Eagle Golf Dominates Region I Field

The Eagle golf team took it to the next level at the Class 4A Region I tournament - winning by 32 shots! Argyle broke the team record for a single round and a two-day total of 577. The Eagles were led by regional individual champion Gaven Lane who set the single-round record with a 9-under par round of 63.

Signing Day at Argyle High!

Wednesday afternoon Argyle ISD celebrated the success and futures of Eagle student-athletes at Argyle High School! Five Eagles signed scholarships in four different sports. We are so proud of their high school careers and how they represented AHS. We wish them all the best at their future college homes!
