Parent Pick-up Reminder
This is a reminder to parents that pick up their children after school by car in the front parking lot along the Powerhouse Road side of school.
Safety for every student is an utmost concern at Robertson. The pick up procedure is that students wait along the gym for their parent’s car. Please do not ask your child to walk along the sidewalk by the fence to get in the car. When this happens we cannot insure that:
1) All students are getting in the car with the right person.
2) Students are entering into the parking lot in a manner in which they will not be hit by a moving vehicle.
Please consider how unsafe it would become it all parents were to do this and all students were jumping into cars all along the line in which we wait.
Thank you for your patience and willingness to wait to pick up at the front of the pick-up zone along the gym.
Leaving a message for a student:
If you have urgent information that needs to reach your child, please do so by contacting the office staff at 573-1600. Changes in directions for a child regarding plans to get home should be provided to the office as soon as known. We will try our best, but cannot guarantee a message called in at the last minute can reach the student before buses depart.
Please try to make arrangements with your child in the morning before school as it disrupts the whole class and instruction to call in with messages our teachers instruct right up to the bell.
Teachers do not answer telephone calls during instructional times and often do not have an opportunity to check messages until after the school instructional day is over. Teachers can also be reached by email following this sequence – lastname.firstname@yakimaschools.org
