Falcon Connection

the week of April 6th - 9th

Welcome to April!

With Remote Learning starting tomorrow, we thought it would be important to continue to keep in touch. We know this is a difficult time; we are in this together.
Please see the link below to access the "One-Stop-Shop" website for remote learning at Fischer. This website has district links, contact information and remote learning access for each teacher.

We are still putting in each individual teacher's information for their classes.

Connect with local groups:

Follow the city of Aurora, police department, park district, etc. on social media. They are often posting ideas, activities and community "events" to support one another.

Here is one fun contest: While the kids and adults are stuck at home until at least May 1st, CSWEA-Illinois (CSWEA.ORG) has decided to host a fun, educational video contest to keep them entertained! Did I mention there is a $500 cash prize?!

With continuing toilet paper shortages and extra cleaning due to COVID-19, many people are flushing wipes down their toilets, causing clogs in the pipes and equipment at our wastewater treatment facilities!! We are calling on all Illinois residents to create a 30 second Public Service Announcement about what you should and shouldn’t flush down the toilet! The best video wins $500!

This is a great opportunity for the kids to do a fun project (and the parents, too) while learning about the importance of our sewer and water treatment infrastructure (and maybe win some cash too!)
