Classroom Expectations
My goal this year is to have all students realized their potential to build a prosperous community through the study of social studies. In our inclusive classroom every student is to be respected, acts responsibly, feels strong sense of belonging, and is able to learn. In order to achieve this goal, students are asked to:
Be Respectful
It is expected that students understand and work effectively with others.
Be Responsible
It is expected that students complete the appropriate activities in and out of class.
Be Ready to Learn
It is expected that students actively engage in learning.
A peek of our week:
Readings: September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month. We will be learning about contributions Hispanic Americans have made and continue to make to our nation.
Arts and Culture: Students will explore some images of the Spanish influence on American history, religion and culture.

Focus on Social Studies
Why do I like teaching Social Studies?
While developing a bi-cultural identity I also developed a great appreciation of cultural diversity and a thirst for knowledge about learning theories, world cultures, new technologies and social studies. I enjoy teaching Social Studies because I am passionate about history, cultures and government and I feel that I can help the new generation of bright minds to increase understanding of the relationship between people of different cultures and broaden international perspective.
About Me
I am a passionate lifelong learner, social studies teacher, and technology facilitator.
