KCSD & Me
Meal program changes, fun videos, and other updates
Date: April 3, 2020
Chromebooks and supplies
Early next week, please watch for announcements from One Call Now and on our website about plans for distributing Chromebooks and other supplies to students. You can go to our website – www.kcsd.k12.or.us – for the most updated information.
Grab and Go meals now distributed Tuesdays and Fridays
Starting next week, Klamath County School District’s free Grab and Go Meal Program will only distribute meals on Tuesdays and Fridays.
All meals will include breakfast and lunch items for three days. Meal pick up will be available at most school buildings, and school buses will provide meals at drop-off sites throughout the county. Students may go to any of the 36 locations to get their meal. The district also will begin providing basic school supplies – pencils, paper, erasers, crayons, and pencil sharpeners -- as needed at meal pick-up sites.
We have added several meal drop-off sites, and meal pick-up times have changed at nearly all sites. Please check the schedule below for new times and locations. For the new schedule, click on the link: KCSD Grab and Go Meals or on the Grab and Go button below.
Education packets
Until we are ready to roll out distance learning, we will continue to provide our KCSD & Me supplemental learning packets to all students. Families should receive them by Monday, April 6. Students should complete their packets so they can maintain their learning and are able to discuss their progress when their teachers call.
As we move forward, you can help us by communicating your issues and concerns. Please send suggestions to kcsd_covid19@kcsd.k12.or.us. You may also leave a message for us on our hotline at 541-851-8744.
