School Community Parade
On Friday, May 8, staff members at both Millburn Elementary and Middle School will be gathered in the parking lot of Gurnee Mills. Families will then be able to come and drive through the parking lot to wave to staff members with their families.
We are working with Gurnee Mills and the Gurnee Police Department to make this a successful event. Gurnee Mills is providing the parking lot between Macy's and the old Sears for us to use. Gurnee Police will be present to help with traffic flow.
We anticipate that we will need to stagger families to come at certain times. Once we finalize our plans, we will share the times with you.

Revised Last Day of School
This allows us to move up the final day of Remote Learning (Last Day of School) to Wednesday, May 27th.
Zoom Guidance for Students and Parents
Millburn is taking steps on our end within the settings of Zoom to help make these live meetings as safe and secure for students as possible. Student behavior during live sessions should match that of a typical classroom.
****Allowing students to use the Zoom platform is a privilege and is safe for students to use if they follow the rules. However, Zoom can be used by students in unhealthy ways. Parents must be aware that students can initiate a Zoom conference through their iPad with any other student on our network, or anyone else if they invite from the outside. We don't yet have the ability to limit this option. Please monitor any Zoom conferences that your children participate in, and we strongly recommend keeping iPads out of students' bedrooms overnight.
Millburn is going to turn the Zoom App off at 5pm each night and back on at 8am.
Parents might consider to have students in the room with them anytime they are using Zoom.
