AMAZING NEWS... Weddington Hills Elementary, IB World School, has been named National Magnet School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America!
This is our SIXTH recognition from Magnet Schools of America and we are very proud that our staff and students have been recognized nationally by receiving the Magnet Schools of America School of Excellence.
Magnet School of Excellence Awards are only given to a select group of magnet schools. To receive a national merit award, members of Magnet Schools of America must submit a detailed application that is scored by a panel of educators. These schools are judged and scored on their demonstrated ability to raise student academic achievement, promote racial and socioeconomic diversity, provide integrated curricula and instruction, and create strong family and community partnerships that enhance the school’s magnet theme.

What is P2 for Families?
P2 for Families is an easy and effective way for families to discuss the importance of character strengths and positive relationships. It is differentiated for grades Pre-K – 2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Each character strength follows a 1-1-3 model: 1 quote, 1 video, and 3 questions to drive conversations around character at home.
