Square 1 Volunteers Needed
Square 1 Art Helpers Needed! Students will be participating in a Square 1 art fundraiser over the next two Fridays. The first step is the most fun, they will be meeting in the cafeteria with their entire grade to create their masterpiece. This is where we need your help. We have all the supplies and will give them an idea of what to draw but we need some extra hands and eyes to help execute. After all the art is submitted you will be receiving a flyer to preview and order various items featuring their creation. Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Reach out to Kimmi DeKlyn with any questions knacia@hotmail.com.

Save the Date for 2023 Carnival!
Save the Date: Rowayton School Carnival 2023
Friday, May 5th + Saturday May 6th (raindate Sunday May 7)
Mark your calendars, prepare your special no-rain ceremonies, and get ready for a weekend to remember! We have moved the Rowayton School carnival up one week and away from Mother’s Day and wanted to give everyone ample time to get it in the books.
Want to join the committee?
We are looking for two more Rowayton School parents to join the lean and mean carnival committee. Email co-chairs Amy Esparza and Michelle Noe at AmyPaden1@gmail.com and levi.michelle@gmail.com with interest.
Interested in volunteering at carnival?
We will be sending a Sign Up Genius around to all families in March with plenty of opportunities to help out. Thanks in advance!
Have a local business? Want to be sponsor?
We are finalizing our event sponsors. If you are interested in supporting this community event email Ally Sylvestri allysylvestri@gmail.com.
When can I buy my bracelets?
Ticket sales will open online in early April and in person the week leading up to carnival.
Get pumped. It’s all for the kids.
Attendance Letters
Good attendance gives your child the best chance to be successful at school. We understand that sometimes children are sick and cannot be at school, but it is important for them to attend each day they are able. Students are considered chronically absent by the State of Connecticut when they have missed 10% of the current days of school. The total includes both excused and unexcused absences. This means that students with 18 or more absences at the end of the school year will be recorded as chronically absent. Please keep this in mind as there are still five months of school this year.
In order to support our community with attendance, we will be sending letters to families of students that are currently considered chronically absent at the end of each month. Please contact the office if you have any questions or if there is anything we can do to support you in ensuring that your child is at school.
Please note that if your child is absent for reasons other than illness, the absences will likely be recorded as unexcused. Teachers may only provide school work for students who absent due to quarantine.
