Get To Class
Children in Chinese Schools
Children in China that attend public schools usually do not have a lot of money. The children occasionally live in large dormitories. The kids only go home on weekends to work during the day and study at night. They usually walk to where they need to go. They might take large community buses that are usually very full. Only wealthy children that go to private schools get rides to school, usually by there parents, on there way to work.
The Seriousness of School
China is very serious in school, even at younger ages. Children usually have to have a lite breakfast, because they wake up very early. There breakfast consists of rice porridge, chicken and noddle soup, or deep fried pastries that taste a little like doughnuts.
To class we go!
Children in China are usually very good at memorizing things they learn. Most of the children are usually good at math, history, and science. Class would began at 7 o'clock in the morning and go until 11 o'clock at night. Kids began school at the age of 6 or 7. With China holding the world's largest population, it is hard to to educate many children. In the year of 2000 more then 2 million kids were unable to go to school.
