Cell Information
Cells are known to be the smallest organisms in the universe. They are the basic part of the structure and function of all living things. Cells were discovered by Robert Hooke in 1665. Cells emerged from the Earth at least 3.5 billion years ago.
Mitochondria is known as the power house of the cell. Nucleus is the main part of the cell. The ribosomes produce proteins. The cell wall helps protect the cell. The cell membrane allows things to travel in and out of the cell. Cytoplasm is the jelly like substance that helps the cell maintain shape and body. Chloroplast, in plant cells, creates photosynthesis and shows the "green" color in the cell.
Plant Cell
Plant cells may consist of things that other cells like animals cells do not have. This particular cell needs every single organelle to live.
Animal Cell
Animal cells as well as plant cells need every single organelle to survive and continue to do its job.
Diagram of Cells
An animal cell contains everything a plant cell does. Except for a plant cell contains a cell wall & chloroplast and does not contain a centriole.
