Our Resort: Art of Animation Pools

The Art of Animation Resort has three pool options. Let's learn about each of them!

Big Blue Pool: The Big Blue Pool is the main pool at the Art of Animation Resort. The pool is a walk-in, with a Finding Nemo theme and underwater music. This pool is also the largest pool in the entire Walt Disney World Resort area! There is a children's splash area at the pool with fountains, sprinklers, and pop-up jets. The pool is heated to 85 degrees, so we should be able to swim no matter the outside temperature. The Big Blue Pool is conveniently situated in the middle of the resort and next to the Drop Off bar with snacks and drinks.

Cozy Cones Pool: The Cozy Cones Pool is located in the center of the Cars section of the Art of Animation Resort, where our rooms are located. The Cozy Cones Pool is a smaller, kid-friendly pool that includes cone-shaped cabanas for shade and relaxation.

Flippin' Fins Pool: The Flippin' Fins Pool is located in the Little Mermaid section of the resort. We may or may not visit this pool since it is on the opposite side of our resort from our rooms. There is an under the sea theme with Sebastian and friends!

Spotlight on...Magical Express

When our Magic Bands arrive at our homes, we'll also get bright yellow luggage tags. These tags go on your checked baggage...and meet us in our hotel room! Bag arrivals can take up to three hours, so make sure your carry-on has anything you might want for our first few hours on property.

Our first opportunity to use our Magic Bands will be on the Magical Express! The Magical Express is our transportation from the airport to our resort. When we arrive at the airport, we'll head down to Side B, Level 1 and be whisked away on our first magical adventure. Remember to pack your Magic Band in your carry-on so you can board Disney's Magical Express!

Reservations and Park Days

Dining reservations have been made! The location of our reservations determines which park we'll visit on that day. Here are the reservations:

Tuesday, November 8th: Dinner at Raglan Road (at Disney Springs, no park ticket)

Wednesday, November 9th: Dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel (EPCOT)

Thursday, November 10th: Lunch at The Plaza (Magic Kingdom)

Friday, November 11th: Brunch at O'hana (at Polynesian Resort, no park ticket)

Saturday, November 12th: Dinner at Tusker House (Animal Kingdom)

We unfortunately haven't been able to secure Be Our Guest reservations, which was the goal restaurant at Magic Kingdom. Krysten is trying daily and will update if things change!

We are able to customize our Magic Bands with names and colors. Krysten will do automatic selections for everyone, but if you want to choose your color or name, email her! The color choices are:

Pink

Green

Your name can have up to 9 letters. Tell Krysten want you want!

Disney at Home

Living the Disney magic while preparing for our trip is easy with a selection of Disney Junior shows to watch! Hollywood Studios has a puppet show that features Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Prepare to sing with the show by watching the shows at home.
